Warranty
What we cover, for how long, and how to make a claim. This warranty applies to framing and mirrors supplied by The Framing Project, and sits alongside our Terms & Conditions and Returns Policy.
Last updated: 28 July 2026
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The warranty below is given in addition to those rights. It does not limit them, and you do not have to use it instead of them.
1. What is covered
Workmanship — 12 months from delivery. We warrant our own workmanship on framing and mirrors: joins, fitting, mounting hardware and finishing as we supplied them.
LED components — 12 months from delivery. We warrant integrated LED strips and drivers against failure caused by a manufacturing defect.
2. What is not covered
- Accidental damage, impact, misuse or normal wear
- Breakage during handling, transport or installation by you or anyone acting for you
- Moisture or humidity damage where a mirror has been installed in an unventilated space
- Electrical faults caused by incorrect wiring, or by installation by someone who is not a licensed electrician
- Surface marks or corrosion caused by abrasive or unsuitable cleaning products
- Variation within the tolerances described in clause 5 of our Terms & Conditions
- Deterioration arising from the inherent condition of artwork or materials you supplied to us
If something is excluded here, you may still have a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. These exclusions do not affect that.
3. How to claim
Email sales@theframingproject.com.au or call 02 9690 2311 with your order number, a description of the problem and photographs. You can also write to us at Unit 11, 61–71 Beauchamp Rd, Matraville NSW 2036.
We will assess the claim and, where it is covered, repair or replace the item or the faulty component at our option and at our cost. Whether an LED strip or driver is repaired or replaced is our decision. You do not have to pay to make a claim under this warranty; we cover the cost of assessment and of any repair or replacement we agree to. If returning the piece to us is the only practical way to assess it, talk to us first and we will arrange it.
4. Transit damage is separate
If your piece arrives damaged, that is a courier insurance matter rather than a warranty claim, and it has a much shorter window. Photograph it and contact us within 48 hours of delivery at sales@theframingproject.com.au — that is what our courier's insurance requires. Reporting damage inside 48 hours never limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Looking after your piece
- Have LED mirrors connected by a licensed electrician
- Allow adequate ventilation behind an LED mirror
- Clean with glass-safe, non-abrasive products only
- Mount on a structurally sound wall, and have heavy pieces hung by a professional
